Some birds get along as closely with humans and with other animals. They help each other find food or warn of approaching predators.
In African savannas buivolov Starling can be found everywhere. With their families they keep on the back of any large animal such as giraffe and rhinoceros. They feed on mites and insects that inhabit or sit only on animals. Animals with the facilities carry birds from place to place, and they in turn warn them of impending danger.
Birds called honeyguides eat the wax from the nests of wasps and bees. So they formed lasting friendships with animals-honey, eat the honey straight from the nests. Memocast looking for the tree with the nests of wasps and bees and with their cries attracted the honey badger. Honey badger opens the nest, and memocast easily picks up and eats the wax.
Honey badger breaks the nest and bee gets the honey.
Once the honey badger has finished the meal, memocast eat up the wax.
LIFE ON THE VERGE OF DANGER
Some birds make their nests in the vicinity of any dangerous (but not for them) animals or insects in the hope that it will scare away predators. For example, rijecani cactus Wren and banana songster often nest near wasp nests. Wasps do not cause them any harm, but scare away predators.
THE BEAST WITH VIEWS OF THE SURROUNDINGS
Egyptian herons can often be seen sitting on the back of some large animal, such as Buffalo, Hippo and elephant. Affords a good view of the area, and at the same time you can have a great feed on mites living on the body of animals. It happens that the Egyptian herons follow the tractors, working on farms. Moving the tractor disturbs the soil dwelling insects. Insects come to the surface – here the birds and eat them.
